Movie presentation of Unbranded
Four young Cowboys hatch an outrageous plot to adopt, train, and ride a string of wild mustangs 3,000 miles from Mexico to Canada through the wildest terrain of the American West. The trip became an epic journey of self-discovery, tested friendships, and iconic landscapes that included runaway horses, a sassy donkey, perilous mountain passes, rodeos, sickness, injury, and death. The Audience Award winner at Telluride Mountainfilm and Hot Docs Film Festival, Unbranded is a soaring tale of danger and resilience, an emotionally charged odyssey that shines a bright light on the complex plight of our country’s wild horses.
On Saturday, April 23rd, we will plant seeds to celebrate Earth Day (technically, Earth Day is Friday, but everyday should be Earth Day, anyway). Kids of all ages can come and plant the seed of their choice and take them home to nurture. Help them appreciate the earth and feel more connected to nature as they watch their seed sprout into a plant, with just a bit of care.
Best Family Farms will be partnering with us and will give a free Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin to every child that keeps their plant alive until September! So, bring the family, have some fun, and celebrate what our Earth has to offer.
This is a FREE event.
Let’s Play Something will be doing our first Funtime Festival KID FEST at the Napavine Community Park (on the baseball fields) on July 16th.
We’ll be getting doused for charity (benefiting the Youth Advocacy Center), have bounce houses from The Hop Shop (just $5 for an all day wristband to jump), balloon animals by Mr. Twister, face painting, a local business scavenger hunt, and so much more!!
Be sure to check it out! We’ll start right after the Funtime Festival parade ends, around noon (parade starts at 11am).
