The 6th Annual Earth Day Celebration will take place on Saturday, April 20, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Chehalis on Boistfort Street. This free event will include activities for the whole family, including visits with farm animals, crafts, demos, and music. Farmers will be selling plant starts and answering questions. Local organizations will be on hand to share resources and information. Fungi Perfecti and Wise Woman Herbals will also have booths that include giveaways. Heart Center Massage Therapy will have a booth where attendees can purchase brief stress relief or shoulder/neck pain massages. In addition, there will be a raffle for fun earth-inspired prizes.
This celebration is hosted by Nature Nurture Farmacy, which has held an Earth Day event for the past five years, and the Community Farmers Market of Chehalis. Blue Zones Activate Lewis County is the main sponsor. Attendees can also head over to the Lewis County Historical Museum for the Experience Chehalis Earth Day Community Clean-up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Nature Nurture Farmacy is a non-profit community health center in downtown Chehalis. Founded in 2018, its mission is to build community health through botanical medicine, sustainable food cultivation, and empowering education.
