Restoration Work Party at the Discovery Trail @ Discovery Trail

Join the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust for a day on by river removing invasive plant species along the Discovery Trail. For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult and all youth under 18 years of age must have a signed waiver to participate.

Coffee, Water, and Snacks will be provided.

Bring a favorite stuffed toy for a sleepover at the library, arrive by 5:30 p.m. Tuck your friend in and say goodnight. Come back the next day after 10:00 a.m. to pick up your friend and find out what mischief everyone got into during their night at the library. Photos will be posted on the Chehalis Timberland Library Facebook page. This is an early learning program. For children ages 3-11.

Burnt Ridge Nursery and Orchards in Onalaska will host weekly organic gardening classes this summer. In the first session, we will discuss how to plan gardens and home orchards and ways to add trees, shrubs, and vines to your existing landscape. We’ll also touch on planting for pollination, nitrogen fixation, sod removal, and mulching. Presented by Ben Kunesh, on staff horticulturalist.
