Join us for an in-home virtual workshop! This short course is designed for beginning home gardeners who want to grow nutritious food. We will share ideas about how to design a low-cost, non-permanent, productive home garden! We are especially excited to work with those who have small yards and apartment balconies where creative space-efficient strategies can make it possible to have a home garden that provides fresh food and fun learning opportunities for all. We look forward to seeing you all there!

Join the Lewis Conservation District and Mallonee Farms organic dairy for a cover crop planting demonstration! The no-till drill is available for rent at The Farm Store in Chehalis. The 1590 John Deere no-till drill features a 10′ working width and 7.5″ row spacing. It is great for planting grass, legumes, and grains. Come learn how to operate the drill and see it in action.
Learn about freshwater mussels and lamprey in the Chehalis Basin at this educational workshop! Join Biologists Curt Holt (WDFW) and Teal Waterstrat (USFWS) to learn about these lesser-known, fascinating species. Both mussels and lamprey play a key role in the ecosystem of the rivers and streams and have a rich history in the Pacific Northwest. Learn about the challenges they are facing to survive and how you can help them! This event is free and family friendly.
