Burnt Ridge Nursery and Orchards in Onalaska will host weekly organic gardening classes this summer. In the first session, we will discuss how to plan gardens and home orchards and ways to add trees, shrubs, and vines to your existing landscape. We’ll also touch on planting for pollination, nitrogen fixation, sod removal, and mulching. Presented by Ben Kunesh, on staff horticulturalist.

The Fire Rescue Spectacular, July 8, is the ultimate firefighter and first-responder experience for kids! At the free street fair kids can explore a fleet of emergency vehicles, meet first responders, take the Junior Fighter Challenge, enjoy free ice cream, and so much more!

Presented by Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital & Health Network in partnership with Olympia Fire Dept., and thanks to Access Partner Macy’s.

Free Street Fair Activities
• Explore Olympia’s fleet of emergency vehicles and meet first responders
• Meet Sparky the Fire Dog & Smokey the Bear
• See vintage fire trucks
• Experience the Spray Gallery
• Take the Junior Firefighter Challenge
• Enjoy special activities, festival food & free ice cream and popsicles

Inside the Museum
• See wacky Dr. Science demos
• Make an emergency candle or fire starter
• Learn how to start a campfire
• Explore first aid techniques
• Rescue toy animals from ice

All activities on the street are free to the public. Special activities in the Museum are free with admission – online reservations recommended.

The Family Cornhole Challenge is an outdoor cornhole tournament dedicated to raising funds to help Family Education & Support Services (FESS) change lives – for children, families, and communities. With your support, together, we can ensure more children grow-up safe and healthy.

LIVE MUSIC – FOOD TRUCKS – ACTIVITIES FOR KIDS & MUCH MORE

REGISTRATION:
Cornhole Challenge Team: $100 | $85 early bird price (early bird pricing available through July 1st)
Includes team of two (2) players of any skill level or experience – play for fun.

DIVISIONS
Family (one Adult + one Youth)
Adult (18+)
High School (13-17)

Family of Four Cornhole Challenge: $200 | $150 early bird price (early bird pricing available through July 1st)
Includes two teams of two players – total of four (4) competitors.
Register together, compete against other families in the Family division.

Individual Competitor: $60
No partner? No problem! We will randomly assign you a partner day of the event.
Individual Competitor ticket available in the adult division only.
