This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
On Saturday, April 23rd, we will plant seeds to celebrate Earth Day (technically, Earth Day is Friday, but everyday should be Earth Day, anyway). Kids of all ages can come and plant the seed of their choice and take them home to nurture. Help them appreciate the earth and feel more connected to nature as they watch their seed sprout into a plant, with just a bit of care.
Best Family Farms will be partnering with us and will give a free Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin to every child that keeps their plant alive until September! So, bring the family, have some fun, and celebrate what our Earth has to offer.

The purpose of Centralia’s Historic Preservation Commission is to provide for the identification, evaluation, designation, and protection of designated historic and prehistoric resources within the boundaries of Centralia. The commission meets at 5:30 p.m. on the first Thursday of the month in the Council Chambers at 118 West Maple.
Join Penny’s Puppets at the Hands On Children’s Museum. Faye the Fairy has a dream to earn her wings at the Wonderful Festival with all the “perfect” Fairies, but she is having a hard time getting her spells to work out right. Join her as she makes new friends in the enchanted forest who help her learn about herself and the importance of being just who you are! 11am & 3pm puppet shows – this is the 3pm show. FREE with admission.

Delight in the fragrance of delicious gingerbread cookies you will bake with Makayla Roberson of Mak’s Snack Shack! While your cookies are baking in the oven, you will decorate previously baked gingerbread cookies with royal icing and fun toppings! One adult chef and one child chef (age 5-8) per registration can enjoy this winter celebration that is sure to awaken your internal baking show contestant!
