Beginning Square Dance Lessons @ Lac-A-Do Hall

This social, family-friendly class gets your body and mind moving in a fun atmosphere. By the end of ten weeks you will have learned the basics of modern square dancing – the same moves used in thousands of square dance club dances and dance events throughout the world. You’ll be dancing at the very first lesson. Couples, families and singles are all welcome. Restoration Work Party at the Discovery Trail @ Discovery Trail

Join the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust for a day on by river removing invasive plant species along the Discovery Trail. For all work parties, please dress for the weather and wear sturdy shoes. Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle. Youth under age 14 must be accompanied by an adult and all youth under 18 years of age must have a signed waiver to participate.

Coffee, Water, and Snacks will be provided.

Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible. Plants, produce, and preserves from our farm will be available to purchase after each tour. Tickets at www.burntridgenursery.com or 360-985-2873.
