Twin Transit helps people get where they need to go safely, easily and affordably. Riders traverse Centralia and Chehalis, visiting downtown areas, businesses, medical centers, shopping districts, and more. Each year nearly 250,000 rides are taken on Twin Transit buses.

Now the organization is looking to enhance and improve rider experience by gathering feedback in two Community Engagement Sessions. The first session will take place on Tuesday, October 8th at the Centralia Timberland Library from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. The second will be held at the Chehalis Timberland Library on Wednesday, October 9th from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Refreshments will be served at both events.

“It’s important that the community has input into our short- and long-term visions,” says Twin Transit Director Joe Clark. “These Community Engagement Sessions are an effective way to solicit that input.”

Twin Transit understands that engaging in dialogue with a wide array of local residents is paramount to serving our area. Engagement sessions offer an opportunity for riders and community members to share their experience, offer feedback, and help enhance Twin Transit’s current offerings. “Ridership representation is critical to having transparent and authentic input from our community,” Clark says.

Twin Transit also encourages representatives from local businesses, nonprofits and other organizations to attend and offer input. “These sessions are a great way for businesses, other agencies, and community partners to hear and understand what our long-term objectives are for Twin Transit,” Clark

Public transportation is an important part of any healthy community. It provides access to employment, education, community resources, medical care, and recreational opportunities. By creating open lines of communication, Twin Transit plans to continually improve its offerings and better serve our local community.

Come and let your voice be heard at Twin Transit’s upcoming Community Engagement Sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to share your thoughts, help improve current services, and learn more about Twin Transit’s goals – now and in the future.
