A one and one quarter hour, 13-mile sojourn through Milburn, goes by varied and beautiful views of wooded forests, old farmsteads, country homes, and tranquil nature sites. Departing at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., the roundtrip excursion runs on Saturdays and Sundays until the end of August, and Saturdays only in September. Allow one and one half hours.
For children ages 6-18. Prepare a short monologue, song and dance. We will provide these for you if necessary. Everyone who registers will be cast. Jr. Tech instruction is available for children age 11 & up.
Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.

An 18-mile one and three quarter hour run through Ruth will be offered every Saturday through September. Departing at 5:00 p.m., the extended run follows alongside the Chehalis River, its lush riverbanks, forests and farmlands. Allow two hours.
The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission invites people to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a free visit to Washington’s state parks.
At Rainbow Falls State Park, join Ranger Kathy Jacobson on a short walk to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls, and the Civilian Conservation Corps. Please meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. Dress for the weather, as the program will be held rain or shine.
Free days apply only to day use access by vehicle, not to overnight stays or rented facilities.
