Join us for a lovely potluck celebrating local food grown and preserved by hard-working farmers and community members. Music by Prairie Fire.
Our preservation dinner aims to complement the lively fall harvest dinners that happen in the community. In late winter as we emerge from the cold, dark weather, we can remember the fruits of our labor as we savor preserved goods from our abundant summer and fall harvests. We can celebrate the continuation of the cycle of life that connects us all. We want to offer an evening to showcase local food, nutrition programs, and farmer opportunities. Farming is connection to community eating, health, and environmental sustainability. Please come and see what is happening in our community and share what you may be doing as well.
Calling all producers, growers, grocers, markets, local food banks, food access programs, chefs & restaurants focusing on local produce, community & school gardens, folks who simply love delicious food grown with heart. Kids are welcome. Join us, and let’s unite our missions!

Join Lewis County Stream Team + the Onalaska Alliance to plant a variety of native trees and shrubs along Carlisle Lake! These plants will shade out invasive weeds, provide food and habitat for birds and pollinators, and provide beautiful blooms, berries and foliage for all to enjoy. Dress warmly and bring gloves and tools if you have them!
Whether you’re an experienced gardener or simply have access to an urban greenspace, you’re invited to explore the impact of noxious weeds on the environment and discover beneficial ornamental alternatives. Join us at China Creek to celebrate our earth by caring for this important salmon habitat! We will be picking up garbage, removing invasive weeds, planting native plants and mulching with compost. Hear from the Lewis County and Centralia Stream Teams, Lewis County Noxious Weed Board, Centralia Clean Team and the City of Centralia on topics like composting, stream restoration, community clean-ups and how YOU can get involved in local environmental stewardship. Fun for the whole family!
Join Hank Greenwald, DVM to learn how to reduce chemical treatments through non-pharmaceutical parasite management. Lewis Conservation District will share available resources for farmers through the Voluntary Stewardship Program. Plus, enjoy refreshments and a 10% Farm Store discount!
Bats provide excellent pest control, pollinate night-blooming flowers and are our only true flying mammal! Join biologist Nicholle Stephens (WDFW) and Lewis Conservation District to learn about our native bats and how to create habitat for these amazing and often misunderstood creatures.
Join the WSU Extension Lewis County Master Gardeners for an innovative class on “Creating a Food Forest.” Learn how to design and establish a sustainable, self-sufficient garden with a diverse planting of edible plants that mimics natural ecosystems. This informative and hands-on session is perfect for gardeners of all experience levels!
