Two long-time optometrists, Dr. Angela Loeb and Dr. Mary Ferris, will officially open the doors of Rainier Eye, located at 145 S. Market Blvd. in Chehalis, on July 28, 4-6 p.m. The public and local officials are welcome to attend to see the new facility, meet Drs. Ferris and Loeb and participate in prize drawings. The ribbon cutting takes place at 4:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to be part of the Lewis County community and part of the foundation of the
healthcare community in Chehalis,” said Dr. Ferris, who had practiced optometry in Olympia since 2009 and was awarded Best of the South Sound: Best Doctor for 2022. “We built our vision care clinic to be an inviting space for people of all ages with the technology and team with a focus on personalized service that puts patients first.”

The mission of Rainier Eye is to improve our patient’s quality of life by providing optimal vision through custom eyewear, contact lenses, and comprehensive medical eye care.

“Rainier Eye is a locally owned and operated small business. This allows us to practice patient-centered eye care, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect,” said Dr. Loeb, who has worked as an associate doctor in Olympia for over 11 years. “When we considered a location for our practice, Chehalis was first on the list. We know that small communities have healthcare service gaps, particularly growing communities like those in Lewis County. Working in partnership with other eye-care and other medical professionals, we will be a trusted partner to serve the needs of people of all ages and backgrounds.”

Ferris and Loeb added that they have already received a warm welcome from local leaders, the Chamber of Commerce and community members.

“We may be new to the area, but we feel right at home,” they said.

Rainier Eye is accepting new patients of all ages. Appointments can be made through their online portal or via phone at 360.506.5544.
