Lewis County Public Health & Social Services (LCPHSS) announced on July 6 that one Lewis County resident in their 40s has tested positive for COVID-19. The resident of Commissioner District #2 has not been hospitalized.

This brings the total number of known county residents with positive tests to 83, an increase of 34 cases since Lewis County was approved to enter Phase 3 on June 19.

33 of the 83 Lewis County cases are now considered recovered under the current definition.  Three of the 83 who tested positive have died. There have been 3,685 COVID-19 test results returned in Lewis County with a 2.1% positive rate.

Positive test cases and recoveries have occurred in all areas of the county. Breaking them down by County Commissioner district shows:
