In his book, “Stealing Puget Sound: 1832-1869,” author Jerry V. Ramsey, exposes the political tension between the first British settlers and the American pioneers who crossed the Oregon Trail fifteen years later.
The author spent years researching this subject, combing through letters and journals of the time and traveling the west coast, from California to Canada, to collect and confirm facts. The book is comfortably readable but challenges “politically correct” history.
Copies of “Stealing Puget Sound 1832-1869” will be available at this event for purchase and signing. The book is also available to check out from any Timberland library.
