Celebrate the Monsters of the Sea at Boo Bash at the Hands On Children’s Museum in Olympia, WA. Dress up in costumes and enjoy a day of fun Halloween-inspired activities without the fright. Explore the new Megan D Vintage Schooner exhibit, take a black light deep-sea dive, search for hidden treasure on the “Ghost Ship,” investigate bioluminescence with sea creatures that glow, discover the power of electricity and what makes eels electric, design a glow-in-the-dark silkscreen print, press apples into cider, watch Dr. Science Demos, door prizes, face painting, fun, and food! Write a novel in one month! Get started this November with National Novel Writing Month, a seat-of-your-pants writing adventure, and churn out a 50,000-word novel in 30 days. Come work on your novel every Saturday in November at the Chehalis library with the moral support of fellow wrimos. We will kick off on Saturday November 2nd with a presentation from author Jami Davenport on planning a novel and tips for writing faster. Snacks and coffee will be provided by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library to help fuel creativity.
