This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

Lunafest is a festival of films by, for and about women. Films are provided by Lunabar Company. This showing is organized by Lewis County Branch of American Association of University Women. Proceeds will benefit Human Response Network and local scholarships for women. Before the showing, attendees can enjoy complimentary appetizers and purchase raffle tickets for an assortment of baskets and other items.
Science fiction author and illustrator, Sara Light-Waller, comes to Chehalis on April 27th from 1:00-3:00 PM for a signing of her new book, “ANCHOR: A Strange Tale of Time.”
She is part of Independent Bookstore Day, a celebration of small bookstores around the country with events including book signings by local authors, giveaways, and the whole bookish ecosystem.
The event will be held at Book N’ Brush, 518 N Market Blvd. Chehalis, WA. It is free to the public. Free street parking is available.
Sara Light-Waller is a pulp historian who specializes in science fiction that retains the look and feel of Golden Age pulp but is updated for modern sensibilities. She runs Lucina Press (lucinapress.com) and lives in Centralia, WA.
AAUW of Lewis County presents for it’s third year Lunafest, an Indie Film Festival by, for, and about women. Free gift bags and refreshments, a fabulous basket raffle, wine bar.

Hands On invites families of children with sensory sensitivities to join popular teacher Lahela Peterson and enjoy the museum before it opens to the public for “Special Mornings of Play”.
Led by museum educators, these are special events for families of children with autism or other special needs that provide a private, less over-stimulating time to experience the museum with other families who may share the same life experience.
