Please join Chehalis River Basin Land Trust members and friends for our annual Gala fundraiser — Return to Riverside Gala.
This will be a wine and dessert event featuring live music and a presentation by
Isabel Vander Stoep and Jared Wenzelburger who kayaked the length of the Chehalis River earlier this year. There will also be a fundraiser auction and dessert dash, along with an update on recent Land Trust projects and activities.
School has started and now is the time to educate yourself on firearm safety. Come learn firearm safety rules, how a handgun functions, how to load it, clear jams, trigger press, sight alignment, stance and more. Class size is limited to 6 attendees so register early. Don’t own a firearm yet, no problem, just bring 9mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR to use in one of the handguns I have. Eye and ear protection is required, but I have extra of those if you do not have them. A baseball cap is also required. The fee is $85 which includes a $30 non-refundable deposit. Free and fun introduction to square dancing. A chance to get out and get moving. You’ll be dancing right away. Good exercise for body and brain in a friendly atmosphere. No experience necessary. This class covers the basics of pistol use. How the firearm functions, how to load a magazine, grip, stance, eye dominance, aim, trigger press and more. If you work weekends and have wanted to take a class, this one is for you. If you do not own a pistol, one will be provided, just bring a box of 9mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR (long rifle) ammo. To register for this class call Dolly at 360-978-4338. Fee for the class is $85 which includes a $30 non-refundable preregistration fee and balance due at the start of class. Class size is limited to six attendees so register soon. What you will need to bring to participate in the class will be shared with you when you register.
