Recently purchased a handgun, this is the place to start. Safety, stance, grip, sight alignment, trigger press and more. Haven’t purchased a firearm yet, this is still the place to start. Lewis County Master Gardeners will be having a Fall Plant Sale, Saturday, September 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Master Gardener Greenhouse located at Fort Borst Park in Centralia.
You can purchase hundreds of high-quality trees, shrubs and perennials all grown by local Master Gardeners.
Please, bring your own garden cart or wagon. Face masks and social distancing are required.

Would you like to learn about handguns? Considering purchasing one and don’t know what to get? This is the class for you. You will learn the firearm safety rules, the make-up of a handgun, how to grip it, stance, sight alignment and things to consider during a self-defense situation. If you do not own a firearm, no problem. Just bring .22LR ammo and/or 9mm Luger\Parabellum and there will be a few available for you to try.
Learn the basics of handling a handgun. Safety rules, loading/unloading, clearing jams, how a firearm functions, sight alignment and stance just to name a few topics covered. If you do not own a handgun there are a couple available for you to try. Bring to the class your firearm (if you have one), the correct ammo for that firearm, or bring .22LR or 9mm Luger/Parabellum, eye/ear protection, baseball cap and paper to take notes. Prepare your family, farm, livestock, and pets for emergencies on the farm. Emergency, safety, and health issues we will cover: fires, weather & alerts, power outages, water, hazardous materials, threats and civil disturbance, AgrAbility, health & suicide prevention, emergency resources & supplies.

Want to learn to shoot a pistol? Don’t have a pistol? Learn about handguns in this class. I teach grip, stance, sight alignment, follow through, and more. Learn what to look for when you purchase a firearm if you don’t have one. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have them), baseball cap, your firearm and if you don’t have one bring 9 mm Luger/parabellum ammo or .22LR ammo to use in the firearms I have. Preregistration is required as space is limited to 6. There is a $25 non-refundable fee required at registration and balance due at the door.
