This social, family-friendly class gets your body and mind moving in a fun atmosphere. By the end of ten weeks you will have learned the basics of modern square dancing – the same moves used in thousands of square dance club dances and dance events throughout the world. The entire family is invited to Providence Centralia Hospital’s third annual Healthier Together event. All activities are free and open to the public. Sign up early and receive a free t-shirt (limited to first 300 people). Registration is not required, but encouraged for planning purposes.

The event will include:

  • 5k fun run/walk presented by the Run Amok Running Club (check-in begins at 8:00 a.m. with the run starting at 9:00 a.m. All participants receive a door prize ticket and there will be awards in several divisions
  • Kids dash (10:30 a.m.)
  • Bike helmets for kids (sponsored by Providence Neurosciences)
  • Healthy snacks
  • Health fair:
    • Blood pressure checks
    • Blood sugar checks
    • Health screening information
    • Physical therapy advice
    • And more

Run Amok Irish Run Club @ O'Blarney's at Gibson House

Our season starts on the first Thursday after St. Patrick’s Day and then meets every Thursday until the last Thursday before Halloween. We meet at 6pm at O’Blarney’s Irish Pub in downtown Centralia to begin our weekly run. We will have 6-8 different routes which we will alternate throughout the year. We end our run at O’Blarney’s to enjoy great food and some social time before we all embark on our respective Fridays!

The History of Rainbow Falls State Park — Nature Interpretive Program @ Rainbow Falls State Park

Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.

Celebrate National Public Lands Day at Rainbow Falls State Park! @ Rainbow Falls State Park

The Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission invites people to celebrate National Public Lands Day with a free visit to Washington’s state parks.

At Rainbow Falls State Park, join Ranger Kathy Jacobson on a short walk to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls, and the Civilian Conservation Corps. Please meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. Dress for the weather, as the program will be held rain or shine.

Free days apply only to day use access by vehicle, not to overnight stays or rented facilities.

Over the course of three hours, you will be guided through a combination of Nia choreography and Floorplay that will teach you to read your body’s signals as a way to personalize your Nia experience inside and outside of class and leave you with lasting results.
