Join us to commemorate America’s entry into World War I. Discuss this dramatic period with Lorraine McConaghy as she presents Washington at War: The Evergreen State in World War I. The program begins with an illustrated introduction to the war’s themes before offering a “Readers’ Theater:” a script that is read aloud together.
Judy Bentley will discuss her new book, “Walking Washington’s History: Ten Cities,” highlighting walks that tell ten stories from Washington’s urban history. After the presentation there will be a book signing, with copies available for purchase.

Join the Winlock School District and Winlock Timberland Library to view the 96% eclipse (Starts at 9:07 a.m. with maximum eclipse occurring at 10:19 a.m.). Commemorative protective glasses will be provided while supplies last.
The 4th Annual Southwest Washington Writers Conference will feature two keynote speakers, 18 writing workshops, and networking opportunities for local professional and aspiring writers. Keynoters include award-winning authors Robert Dugoni and Mike Lawson. Dugoni is the New York Times bestselling author of the Tracy Crosswhite series and the critically acclaimed David Sloane series. Lawson, a former senior civilian executive for the U.S. Navy, is creator of the nine novels in the Joe DeMarco series as well as the Kay Hamilton novels.

Join us as we recognize and remember all who served during the Vietnam conflict. This years event will be very special as our guest speaker will be; Ray “Doc” Padre Johnson, one the highest decorated Navy Chaplain in American history.
Paintings are led by Sue Wachter and Joan Hitchcock. Cancellations must be processed more 24 hours in advance to be accepted. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the event starts to get your supplies and spot ready for the evening.
We provide paint, canvas, brushes, apron, snacks and drinks and you get to take home your masterpiece each event. Wine will be provided for those over 21 years of age. Room 116 in Washington Hall on campus.
