This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

School of the Arts is focused on developing well rounded actors by offering opportunities for youth to develop their acting, singing and movement skills through classes, workshops and productions. This fall we will be offering a 10-week session of classes and an end of session Showcase. Classes start Sept 13, 2018. The Showcase for friends and family will be in November. Students will receive training from qualified instructors in a small group setting.

It’s National Novel Writing Month! Join us Thursday, November 1 to pick up NaNoWriMo swag, meet other ‘WriMos and kick-off your month of writing anytime 1:00 p.m. until closing. Then drop-in Saturdays in November to join other writers for dedicated writing time. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.
There will be Santa, raffle tickets and lots more at the fire station in Glenoma. Directions if coming from Chehalis, take I-5 Exit 68 for Morton/Yakima. We are eight miles east of Morton across the highway from the Glenoma Post Office.
All 6th – 12th graders, you are invited to a library winter wonderland to watch a movie, make wintery crafts, create the perfect cup of cocoa and throw snowballs! Sponsored by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.

The Prairie Steppers invite you to a FREE Square Dance lesson on Tuesday Jan. 8, 2019. Lessons continue on Tuesdays from 7 to 9 PM at the Oakview Grange, 2715 North Pearl St. in Centralia for just $2.50 per lesson. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide provides free income tax preparation. You do not need to be retired and you do not need to be a member of AARP. Counselors are certified through the IRS to their Advanced Certification. If you have questions on the new standard deduction, child tax credit and more, we can help you.
