This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Each morning of the derby hundreds of eager youngsters flip a line into the water in hopes of catching “the big one.” Throughout the day hundreds of fish are caught with the biggest trout weighing in at about 8 pounds. There are various activities throughout the day for kids to participate in. They can have their faces painted, learn how to clean fish, and participate in a number of mini-games around the area.
5 & 8 mile trail ride to benefit WASLICO (Washington State Livestock Coalition) for its non-profit activities to benefit Lewis, Thurston and Mason county livestock owners. Over 115 riders last year! And over $5,000 in cash and prizes raffled off.
$30 Entry Fee: includes Breakfast, (snack), Lunch, 1 Poker Card (*) & 1 Raffle Ticket and
Free field camping for horses, riders & guests (per vehicle & horse trailer) for Friday and Saturday nights! Lunch $5 for Guests/Non-Rider
Ride the Willapa is an all-levels bike ride in the Chehalis River Valley of southwest Washington state. Hosted by Washington State Parks on the Willapa Hills Trail, this historic route utilizes 22 miles of the trail over 2 days.

Let’s Play Something will be doing our 2nd annual KID FEST (at the Funtime Festival) at the Napavine shopping center at 114 NW Alder Ave (in front of Annie’s market) on JULY 15th! We’ll have bounce houses from The Hop Shop, balloon creations by Mr. Twister, face painting, carnival style games, crafts and activity booths, and so much more!! Live music provided by our own Payton Gifford! We’ll even have the Calico Critter mascot at our event this year! 😀 Be sure to check it out! We’ll start right after the Funtime Festival parade ends, around noon (parade starts at 11am).
Power of the Purse is a unique fundraising event accessorized with all the things women love – purses, accessories, spa packages, weekend getaways and more! It also signifies a social collaboration of women from all walks of life, coming together to commemorate the importance of women’s leadership and celebrating the power of women’s philanthropy and success in our community.
A Discover Pass is not required to visit State Parks throughout Washington.

The High Pass Challenge is an epic bicycling journey from Packwood to Windy Ridge and back, covering more than 7,500 feet of elevation gain along U.S. Highway 12 and Forest Service roads leading to Mount St. Helens.
Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.
