We will address the myths and unique characteristics in living in a blended family and participants will be provided the specific tools to promote healthy, functional family dynamics. This free forum will offer separate presentations for adults and youth. The adults will learn about current marijuana laws, marketing strategies, and discuss risks to youth. The youth will learn about laws pertaining to them and dangers associated with marijuana use. this forum will provide an opportunity to get facts and ask questions. There will be refreshments provided.

If you want to grow better plants, you first need to understand the texture of your soil. Collect and bring in a sample of your soil and learn how to test for pH, Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potassium. Call 360-740-1216 to pre-register in advance so you have time to collect your soil sample.
HOPE on the Slopes, Ski & Ride for a Cure is a vertical challenge and fundraising event for skiers and snowboarders benefiting the American Cancer Society. Individuals and teams engage in a friendly competition for awards and prizes in two categories: Top Fundraisers and Top Vertical Feet Vertical is tracked by RFID or GPS scanning system. Together we will find a CURE! Together we will finish the FIGHT!

This Month: Local plants and animals are already feeling the effects of climate change in our region, but how do our local bird populations fare? Kim Adelson, a member of the Black Hills Audubon Society and longtime professor, joins us in our NEW office for a cozy talk about how our local bird populations are changing as they feel the effects of climate change in our area, and what we can do to help our local avian wildlife! The lecture will be followed by ample time for questions and discussions with Kim, group discussion, and review of Kim’s resources.
