This social, family-friendly class gets your body and mind moving in a fun atmosphere. By the end of ten weeks you will have learned the basics of modern square dancing – the same moves used in thousands of square dance club dances and dance events throughout the world. You’ll be dancing at the very first lesson. Couples, families and singles are all welcome. First lesson is Monday, February 20. Sponsored by Olympia Area Square Dancers.

Amanda Hanson will be teaching this needle felting project where people can learn how to create a stuffed pig.
Bring your knitting or crocheting project and meet other crafters. Share tips and companionship. A variety of library materials on knitting and other crafts will be available. All skill levels are welcome and expert help is available.
Gardening for Everyone! Classes cover subjects such as Small Fruits; Beginning Gardening/ Weed Management While Protecting Pollinators; Landscaping on a Budget; Organic Gardening; Grape Selection, Pruning & Care; Vertebrate Pests, Rain Barrels; and Succession Planting a Vegetable Garden.
Back by popular demand! Cherie Davidson will be teaching the essentials of needle felting, including characteristics of different wools, needles, and the how-tos of basic techniques. You’ll learn to make core structural pieces and how to put them together to make a finished piece. You will create your first wool character (lamb), and a terrific needle holder to take home.
Cost is $85, which includes all supplies needed for the 2 projects (and these supplies are all the basic tools you need to start and continue needle felting with your own great projects).
