Novelists, poets, essayists, zinesters, songwriters, and bloggers of all kinds are invited to this ongoing monthly workshop, which offers the chance to share your writing, get feedback, learn writing techniques and most importantly, be inspired to write. Refreshments provided.

On February 16, at Third Thursday in downtown Centralia, I’m offering an evening of Art Therapy. Two hours of FREE drawing exercises and sketching prompts.
You’ll need a couple of pencils, an eraser, and a sketchbook. That’s all!
Every level of artist is welcome. If you’re rusty, all the better.
We’ll do:
1. Warm-up scribbles
2. A review of simple shapes
3. Drawing prompts
Relax for two hours and get some drawing in with friends. In my opinion, there’s no better therapy.
No RSVP is needed.
Just wander in and join us.

Bethel’s School of the Arts is excited to announce their second Dinner Theater Event. Join us as we take a trip to the 1950’s for Food, Music and Fun! Invite your friends & family to the hottest spot in town, Uncle Phil’s Diner!
Performances are Saturday, February 18th at 1pm and 5:30pm, at Bethel Church – Chehalis Campus, 132 Kirkland Road (Exit 72).
Proceeds from the event will help provide stage lighting on Bethel Downtown/School of the Arts’ Liberty Theater upgraded stage at 413 N Tower Ave, Centralia.
Bring your knitting or crocheting project and meet other crafters. Share tips and companionship. A variety of library materials on knitting and other crafts will be available. All skill levels are welcome and expert help is available.
If the thought of a scrumptious dinner and a thrilling murder makes you want to donate to a great cause, then the upcoming Twin Cities Rotary Club event is for you.
Read more about the event here.
Back by popular demand! Cherie Davidson will be teaching the essentials of needle felting, including characteristics of different wools, needles, and the how-tos of basic techniques. You’ll learn to make core structural pieces and how to put them together to make a finished piece. You will create your first wool character (lamb), and a terrific needle holder to take home.
Cost is $85, which includes all supplies needed for the 2 projects (and these supplies are all the basic tools you need to start and continue needle felting with your own great projects).
We will have several fun art projects for kids of all ages. Just $10 per child for art supplies, juice and a snack.
Miss Lewis County will read her book and do an art project with the kids too! Her book is adorable and just $15, part of the proceeds go to a good cause, she’ll tell you all about it when you are here.
Complimentary photo with Miss Lewis County with a donation of non perishable canned goods for the local food bank. Photos will be shared on studiokportraits facebook page.
