Lewis County Mall Food Drive @ Everyone Eats Tour 2015

Numerous business within the Lewis County Mall are collecting donations for the local food banks. DSHS Secretary, Kevin Quigley, will be at the mall on Thursday, October 22nd from 3:30 – 4:30 to present the donations to the food banks. Please drop off your donations, in advance, to any of the participating locations within the mall. Thank you, ALL, for your generosity in helping those in need within our community!

Chehalis Recreation Park/Penny Playground Improvement Project Open House #1 @ VR Lee Building, Recreation Park

The City of Chehalis is soliciting public feedback on how Recreation Park and Penny Playground could be improved for the continued enjoyment of current and future generations. The public comment period is Oct. 15 – Nov. 13. Community members are encouraged to attend one of the two open houses, and to visit the online open house to learn more about the project and provide comment.

Lewis County Historical Society’s Annual Dinner
Nov 15 @ 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm

The Lewis County Historical Society’s Annual Dinner is Sunday, November 15 at 5pm. A $10 sit-down lasagna dinner will be served in the main gallery. There will also be green salad, rolls, and a wonderful Penny’s Cake for dessert. Diners will enjoy live music performed on our gorgeous grand piano. All interested in the Society and Museum are welcome! Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Museum or at the door on November 15.

This year, along with board elections and a slide-show presentation of the fun-filled activities of 2015, will also be discussing upcoming events, plans, and exhibits for our 2016 Year.

If you are concerned that your membership may have expired, you can renew or join before the dinner. Remember, Christmas is coming sooner than you think, so the bookstore and gift shop will be open for early holiday shopping. So, mark your calendars for November 15 at 5pm and come join us for a delicious dinner and exciting evening at the Lewis County Historical Museum!
