This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
The fall is fantastic time to ride the train. Join Snoopy, and Charlie Brown aboard The Great Pumpkin Patch Express. Passengers will ride the train and read the book ‘It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown’ on their journey to the Pumpkin Patch. Every child gets to choose their very own pumpkin to take home, play PEANUTS™ themed games and activities, and meet Charlie Brown and Snoopy.
The Lewis County Historical Society’s Annual Dinner is Sunday, November 13 at 5:00 p.m. A $10 sit-down lasagna dinner will be served in the main gallery. There will also be green salad, rolls, and a wonderful dessert. Diners will enjoy live music performed on our gorgeous grand piano. All interested in the Society and Museum are welcome! Tickets may be purchased in advance at the Museum or at the door on November 13.
This year, along with board elections and a slide-show presentation of the fun-filled activities of 2016, will also be discussing upcoming events, plans, and exhibits for our 2017 Year.
If you are concerned that your membership may have expired, you can renew or join before the dinner. Remember, Christmas is coming sooner than you think, so the bookstore and gift shop will be open for early holiday shopping.
Come on down to the Lewis County Historical Museum for Evening with the Authors. Choose local first for all your Christmas needs for that special literary person in your life!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! We welcome you to attend the 67th Annual Santa Parade in downtown Chehalis. Bring the family out to this nostalgic parade filled with whimsical floats, lead by this years Grand Marshal, Dr. Jennifer Polley, and of course finished with an appearance by Santa himself! This year’s winner of “Best Theme/Best Entry Overall” will win $500 to donate to a local nonprofit of their choice. Make sure to stop by Courage Coffee’s mobile espresso, located by the Chehalis Theatre the day of the parade, where the first 230 cups of coffee will be free courtesy of the Chamber!

Join Billie’s Sewing Circle at Billie’s Designer Fabrics tomorrow, January 11th, from 10 – 2 pm as we make Kitty Crack catnip toys to be used as a fundraiser for The Almost Home Project no-kill animal rescue (facebook.com/thealmosthomeproject). Fabric, catnip and sewing machines will be provided. This sewing circle also makes hats and mittens for our local giving trees. Billie’s is a wonderful store located at in downtown Chehalis at 510 N. Market Blvd with lots of fabulous fabrics and sewing machines worth drooling over not to mention the reasonable repair work they do.
