The city council’s regular meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Otherwise, city councilors do not keep regular office hours at city hall. Please call to arrange an appointment.
New and old NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) participants are invited to join these weekly write-ins! Meet other local writers, discuss your ideas, or plug away at those 50,000 words. Light refreshments provided by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.
The City Council provides elected representation of the citizenry in the governing body. The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month (7 p.m. at City Hall) to approve expenditures of funds and set public policy for the community, with the primary criteria being the safety, health, and general welfare of the community.

The Lewis County Historical Museum is holding their annual Evening with the Authors event. Twelve local authors will be in attendance to meet the public and sign their books. Books ranging from local history, travel, science fiction and many other subjects will be available. The new coloring book about Centralia’s George Washington will also be available.
Hors d’oeuvre and refreshments will be provided.
