The city council’s regular meetings are held at 5:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Otherwise, city councilors do not keep regular office hours at city hall. Please call to arrange an appointment.
The City Council provides elected representation of the citizenry in the governing body. The Council meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month (7 p.m. at City Hall) to approve expenditures of funds and set public policy for the community, with the primary criteria being the safety, health, and general welfare of the community.

Numerous business within the Lewis County Mall are collecting donations for the local food banks. DSHS Secretary, Kevin Quigley, will be at the mall on Thursday, October 22nd from 3:30 – 4:30 to present the donations to the food banks. Please drop off your donations, in advance, to any of the participating locations within the mall. Thank you, ALL, for your generosity in helping those in need within our community!

The City of Chehalis is soliciting public feedback on how Recreation Park and Penny Playground could be improved for the continued enjoyment of current and future generations. The public comment period is Oct. 15 – Nov. 13. Community members are encouraged to attend one of the two open houses, and to visit the online open house to learn more about the project and provide comment.
