This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Can you join student Derek Sibbald this December to provide support during this season of giving, sharing your one of a kind gift that will provide life to three people?
Local patients need blood transfusions for many reasons like cancer, chronic illnesses, blood disorders and surgeries. Be the change in our community and donate!
MLK Service Day: Our big planting event! Come on out to help us revitalize the Discovery Trail! Tasks include: planting native shrubs to compete with blackberry and reed canary grass; planting conifer trees among our large but short lived shade trees; improving stream-side ecology with new plantings; enjoying a cold winter’s day among friends and fellow ecologists.

A Pioneer Church is being built as part of the Borst Pioneer Village which includes the Borst mansion, historic gardens, and Pioneer schoolhouse. Proceeds from this dessert auction will help build the Pioneer Church. Bring a lawn chair and listen to some great music, then bid on the yummy desserts in the auction. Help support the building of the Borst Pioneer Church.
Join the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust for a work party at Discovery Trail! We have over 400 new plantings that need a bit of help beating the summer weed growth. We have tools and gloves, but bring water and hats!
Join Ranger Kathy Jacobson for an interpretive program/walk this Saturday to learn about the Chehalis River, the history of Rainbow Falls State Park and the CCC. All ages are welcome. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
Please dress for the weather as this program will be held rain or shine. Meet at the picnic shelter in the day use area. A Discover Pass — day or valid annual pass is required for each vehicle entering the park.

Learn local history at the 2nd Forest Grove Cemetery Tour. Your tour guide will take you through the cemetery where you will encounter living history vignettes. Come early for a daylight tour or at sundown for the lamplighter tour. Will feature tales of immigrants, pioneers, Seatco Prison, a bear attack, a country doctor and more. Proceeds benefit Boy Scout Troop 9014 and is made possible with the help of friends and the South Thurston County Historical Society.
We are a family affected by autism. As our family member grows older, the venues available to them become scarcer. Our goal is to provide a venue specifically for those special needs individuals who are looking for community functions and events.
We do several walkthroughs with lights on and lights off to deal with the various levels of stimulation tolerance. Our intent is the event be spooky not scary. We do not use any bloody or gory props. We are NOT focused on scaring the visitors but providing a enjoyable haunted Halloween experience.

WE WANT YOUR HELP!
Did you know… When students are not reading at grade level by 3rd grade, they are four times more likely not to graduate on time or at all. Help an elementary school student become a stronger reader and boost their confidence. About one hour a week is all it takes to change the life of a child. The experience will enrich your life too.
We are in great need of volunteers in Lewis County. If you can commit one hour per week for the duration of the school year, we want to invite you to join us at our next Reading Buddy volunteer orientation on November 9.
RSVP on our website to attend. We hope to see you there!

All welcome, no special skills required!
