This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Instead of burning branches and tree debris bury it! Use nature’s technique for creating the same rich humus found on forest floors.

Offered in partnership with the Olympia Fire Department, young visitors will climb aboard giant fire trucks, a police car and motorcycle, and take a ride on “Lil Squirt,” a mini fire truck. Children will meet fire-fighters, design their own fire helmet and participate in the Junior Firefighter challenge including a spray down of a simulated burning house. Visitors will be greeted by Sparky the costumed fire dog! FREE with admission.
Sponsored by: Olympia Fire Department
Join writer and curator Mayumi Tsutakawa as she discusses how Washington’s Japanese Americans faced the injustice of internment and how families who lost everything rebuild their lives. This event is sponsored by Humanities Washington and the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.
The Evergreen Playhouse presents The Importance of Being Earnest
Looking for a group where you can discuss and discover Young Adult literature with other readers? Come and check us out! Bring a friend and 2 books you would like to suggest for our future club discussions! Light snacks and refreshments will be provided.
The goal of this club is for young adults to get together to read, discuss, and share YA literature. No genre is excluded! (So long as it’s Young Adult.)
Regular meetings will be held on the 4th Sunday of every month, from 1:30pm – 3:00pm
