Join Brenda for this two-hour Introduction to Hoop Dance and learn the basics of hooping from the ground up! Never been able to hula hoop? No worries! This is the workshop for you!
Over this two hour workshop, Brenda will take you on a journey through the different styles and techniques of Hoop Dance and empower you to play, groove and practice the FUNdamentals of beginning hoop dance. Laugh your way to learning hoop dance in a safe space and body-positive environment. Hoop dance is a low impact form of expressive fitness and suitable for all bodies, genders and ages. It is a moving meditation and highly effective cardiovascular and strengthening exercise experience.
No experience necessary! Bring your curiosity, hoops will be provided

Another great opportunity to recycle and minimize the impact on our local landfill! Deliver your Christmas tree to the Central Transfer Station, 14 S. Tower Street, Centralia and have it turned into usable mulch for the community. Please ensure all decorations are removed from the trees! No trees or wreaths from commercial operations are accepted. flocked, artificial and/or decorated trees may not be recycled, but can be disposed for at the transfer station where regular fees will apply. Donations gladly accepted to support: Master Gardener/Master Composter/Recycle Programs
As we approach storm season, Christine Hoffmann, Outreach Manager for Puget Sound Energy, will present a natural gas and electric safety overview and highlight steps you can take to make sure you and your family are prepared for natural disasters and inclement weather. For adults, teens- middle and high school.
