Learn about freshwater mussels and lamprey in the Chehalis Basin at this educational workshop! Join Biologists Curt Holt (WDFW) and Teal Waterstrat (USFWS) to learn about these lesser-known, fascinating species. Both mussels and lamprey play a key role in the ecosystem of the rivers and streams and have a rich history in the Pacific Northwest. Learn about the challenges they are facing to survive and how you can help them! This event is free and family friendly.
Join Stream Team to plant trees along the Newaukum River! The trees will benefit water quality and salmon habitat.

Rain gardens are a great tool for filtering stormwater pollutants before they reach streams! Learn about using native plants to create habitat for birds and pollinators.

Celebrate Earth Day 2023 at the Chehalis River Discovery Trail with Lewis County Stream Team, Noxious Weed Control, and the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust. The work party will meet from 10AM-1PM on Saturday, April 22nd at the trailhead parking lot at the end of Goodrich Road. We will be removing invasive weeds from the trail to improve wildlife habitat.
