Submitted by Chehalis River Basin Land Trust
The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust’s mission is to conserve, protect, and restore ecologically significant lands in the Chehalis Basin. The small nonprofit organization already protects 4,500 acres in the basin, which has over ten rivers and large streams feeding into it.
It’s a big job, but Chehalis River Basin Land Trust knows success will improve conditions in the basin. This means cleaner water for people and wildlife and improved salmon habitat. Water, woodlands, and wildlife all contribute to our lives in western Washington.
Consider making a donation to Chehalis River Basin Land Trust through Give Local, hosted by Community Foundation of South Puget Sound. Give Local is a fundraiser for nearly 100 nonprofits in Thurston, Lewis, and Mason counties, including the Chehalis River Land Trust. This fundraising event is on now and ends on November 22. Please consider a donation to your favorite nonprofit(s).
Even $5 can make a difference! With a contribution that matches whatever you donate, a $5 donation becomes $10, or $50 becomes $100. The Dawkins Charitable Trust has generously seeded the Bonus Fund with $100,000 to support all participating Give Local nonprofits!
Your donations will enable us to continue protecting and restoring lands and educating students and adults about the importance of conservation. You can donate to Chehalis River Basin Land Trust here.
