The Centralia – Chehalis Chamber of Commerce (the Chamber) is excited to announce a Grand Opening ribbon-cutting ceremony for Historic Barbershop in Centralia on April 5 at noon. Owners Gil and Janet Hernandez will be on hand to celebrate their grand opening with coupons and refreshments. The Historic Barbershop is located at 105 W. Main Street in Centralia.

Before attending the Paul Mitchell School, Gil had cut hair throughout his high school days. After working in the electrical industry for two years, he decided to join his wife at The Paul Mitchell school to receive his barber education. Both Gil and Janet attended the Paul Mitchell school in Temecula, California. Janet graduated in Cosmetology, and Gil graduated with honors twice in the Cosmetology and Barber programs.

The Historic Barbershop specializes in traditional gentlemen’s haircuts in a relaxing atmosphere, hot lather and hot towel shaves, shampoos, and will be adding coloring services in the near future. The Hernandezs had been looking for a location in downtown Centralia, and when their first pick didn’t work out, the same building owner had a second location on Main Street, which ended up being a perfect fit and where Historic Barbershop is now located.

“We are so excited to be a part of the downtown Centralia business community,” said Gil. “We just want to make people feel good and look good at an affordable price.” Find out more about The Historic Barbershop online, and give them a follow on Facebook (Historic Barbershop Centralia) and Instagram (@historicbarbershop). You can find The Historic Barbershop at 105 W Main Street in Centralia.
