The Economic Alliance of Lewis County is excited to announce its latest venture, managing and developing the Discover Lewis County program. The Alliance’s continued effort to develop partnerships and improve economic development across the county led the organization to the tourism industry. Tourism is vital to Lewis County’s economic picture, and the Alliance is in a good position to further develop Discover Lewis County (DLC), partnering with Lewis County to assume the operations for DLC.
The Alliance has formed a team with a diverse background in the operation and development of both community and regional efforts to support tourism. Todd Chaput has over 20 years in the hospitality industry and serves as the program manager. Lenee Langdon, former East Lewis County Chamber Director and newest Alliance staff member, serves as the community liaison working with community organizations. Annalee Tobey brings 15 years of experience in Lewis County tourism and has contracted with the Alliance to provide marketing and communication expertise and direction. The Alliance is working with Naomi Robb, owner of Calypso Productions & Marketing, to carry out the social media program.
Later this month, the Alliance will hold its first stakeholder engagement event. The goal is to develop a unified voice for tourism in Lewis County through local engagement and expanded regional and national exposure. This year the Alliance will develop a long-term strategic plan that will keep tourism moving forward as an industry. The Alliance is excited about the opportunity to lead Discover Lewis County and looks forward to helping tourism reach its fullest potential.
