Thousands in corporate giving, firm-wide volunteering activities, a week’s vacation and $2,500 toward a trip for the employee who gives back the most each year – and that still that wasn’t enough to be in the top tier of corporate givers across the state!

Centralia firm SCJ Alliance earned honorable mention at the Washington Secretary of State’s Corporations for Communities Awards and is eager to learn from the five businesses who took home the national award.
“It was an incredible honor to be recognized by Secretary Wyman with just 11 other businesses in Washington,” SCJ Senior Principal Jean Carr said. “It was also a learning opportunity we won’t find anywhere else. The five groups who won the national medallion showed us we can keep pushing higher.”
Locally, SCJ has contributed time, talent and treasure to the United Way of Lewis County, Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce, Lewis County Economic Development Council, Centralia Downtown Association, Centralia Christian School, Centralia College Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Chehalis Tribal Loan Fund and the Boys & Girls Club of Chehalis.
Secretary of State Kim Wyman said, “Washington is blessed to have so many caring companies that give back to their communities in a variety of ways. This awards program is a great way to recognize companies that go above and beyond to make a difference.” Brighton Jones, CFO Selections, Kelleher Motor Company, Olympia Federal Savings & Loan, and Shree Investments earned the National Association of Secretaries of State Medallion Award.
