WSDOT ALERT: Both directions of I-5 CLOSED in Lewis County between Grand Mound and US 12 south of Chehalis due to flooding

LOCATION:  Both directions of I-5 CLOSED in Lewis County between Grand Mound and US 12 south of Chehalis due to flooding

DESCRIPTION:  A 20-mile stretch of Interstate 5 in Lewis County between Grand Mound (milepost 88) and US 12 south of Chehalis (milepost 68) is now CLOSED in both directions due to rising floodwater from the Chehalis River near 13th Street in Chehalis (milepost 77). There is currently no estimated time for reopening. Travelers should delay travel until flood water recedes. Current weather forecasts show floodwaters are expected to recede on Sunday.
