The Chehalis Foundation has named Jenny Collins as its executive director. Collins is the first executive director to be hired by the Chehalis Foundation since it’s launch in 2003.

Collins is the former executive director of the Visiting Nurses of Lewis County, a position she had held since 2010. The transition to her new position with the Chehalis Foundation begins August 1.

“I am thrilled to be joining the Chehalis Foundation’s team of committed board members and leaders,” Collins said. “It is an honor to carry on such great work that will continue to provide a positive impact on our community for generations to come.”

“Jenny’s remarkable leadership at Visiting Nurses was a great blessing to so many families and our community,” said Chehalis Foundation board member J. Vander Stoep. “She is exactly the right person, bringing her talents to help the Chehalis Foundation now.”

Founded 17 years ago to support funding for parks and recreation and other civic improvements, the Chehalis Foundation has since expanded its vision to promote educational excellence. The Foundation currently oversees more than $8.6 million in endowments, including the Ingwersen Family Trust for STEM education at W.F. West High School and city ball field improvements, the West-Coffman Scholarship Endowment and Chehalis Foundation Scholarship Fund, and the recently endowed John and Lois Leonard Trust for career and technical education programs and scholarships.
