Learn about growing Lavender from WSU trained Lewis County Master Gardeners. Join us at Borst Park, Master Gardener’s Demo Garden on July 16th, 10am, for a in-depth class on growing Lavender.
Burnt Ridge Nursery and Orchards in Onalaska will host weekly organic gardening classes this summer. In the first session, we will discuss how to plan gardens and home orchards and ways to add trees, shrubs, and vines to your existing landscape. We’ll also touch on planting for pollination, nitrogen fixation, sod removal, and mulching. Presented by Ben Kunesh, on staff horticulturalist.
Join the summer celebration at ChehalisFest, held each year on the last Saturday of July. This event offers activities for kids and families, car fanatics and folks of all ages throughout the day. Downtown Chehalis will be buzzing with summer fun! There will be a car show, live bands all day, beer garden, a vendor fair, kids’ zone, and local businesses will offer incredible deals! Join Nature Nurture Farmacy for a magical fundraiser to support community wellbeing at an Enchanted Herbal Evening in the Forest. This delightful farmhouse gala fundraiser is at a beautiful private residence in Toledo on Saturday, July 30, from 5:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. All proceeds benefit Nature Nurture Farmacy’s mission to enable continued access to affordable holistic healthcare.
This wonderful event is specifically just for adults age 21 and over, and costumes are welcome. Enjoy music, herbal cocktails and mocktails, tea, local charcuterie and desserts, dancing, a silent auction, and much more! The Chehalis River Basin Land Trust will hold a Work Party at the Chehalis River Discovery Trail, near Centralia, from 9 a.m. until noon, on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. We’ll be removing invasive plants from areas near the trail.
The Discovery Trail is at 1545 Goodrich Rd., Centralia. Follow the event signs to parking near the old red barn. Water, snacks, and other cold drinks will be provided (please bring your own bottle for water.).
Please dress for the weather and bring sturdy work gloves and footwear. We will have some garden tools and gloves available at the site but feel free to bring your own hand tools.
