WorkSource is holding a FREE indoor Pop-Up Event at the Great Wolf Lodge in their Convention Center on Wednesday, November 3rd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Come and chat in-person with WorkSource staff to learn about the resources we offer and how we can assist with your job search. Recruiters from multiple employers will also be present. Bring questions and copies of your resume if you are ready to apply!

Give a unique gift of firearms training to the women in your life. No pistol, no problem, I have several you can try. Just need them to bring 9mm Luger and/or .22LR. Learn the basics of what to look for when purchasing a handgun, how to hold the pistol, how to stand while shooting, how to aim, what may or may not be considered self-defense and more. Bring to class your firearm if you have one, proper ammo for it, eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have either of those) and a baseball cap. Come learn about basic pistol shooting. Safety rules, grip, stance, sight alignment and more. Now is the time to overcome the fear of firearms. If you do not own a firearm that is not a problem. Just bring a box of 9mm Luger and/or a box of .22LR and you can try the different ones I have available. Bring your firearm, appropriate ammo for that firearm, eye/ear protection (I have some to loan of those as well) and a baseball cap. Join a virtual volunteer orientation and learn more information about becoming a volunteer in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Mentor a youth in our community by spending a few hours each month doing things you both enjoy. Learn how we ignite the power and promise of youth with our proven system of support and safety.
Join the Lewis County Stream Team to plant trees on Saturday, February 12 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM! We will be planting along Wisner Creek and Mill Creek to improve water quality and fish habitat. Enjoy the beauty of nature and learn about stream restoration projects, beavers as ecosystem engineers, and Coho salmon in the Chehalis River Basin! Work gloves and tools will be provided.
