Our upcoming Find Work Friday on June 11th, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM will have a special focus on Youth and Student job opportunities. We have asked employers to indicate whether they offer paid internship opportunities, pay for formal job skills training, hire minor workers, or have entry level positions for job seeker who are 18 years or older. Youth and Student job seekers will be able to filter the employers based on the types of opportunities they offer during the live event. This will be the first virtual Youth and Student Focused Find Work Friday, but students are always welcome to attend any WorkSource virtual event.

WorkSource is holding a FREE outdoor Pop-Up Event at the Port of Chehalis on Friday July 23 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM. Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible.
