Centralia Christian School will be hosting an informational night about its High School on Tuesday, May 4, at 6:30PM. This event is for parents of 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students throughout Lewis County who are interested in learning more about Christian education options for 9th and 10th grade. Middle and high school students are welcome to attend; childcare is available for younger children through pre-registration only. Our upcoming Find Work Friday on June 11th, 2021 from 1:30 – 3:30 PM will have a special focus on Youth and Student job opportunities. We have asked employers to indicate whether they offer paid internship opportunities, pay for formal job skills training, hire minor workers, or have entry level positions for job seeker who are 18 years or older. Youth and Student job seekers will be able to filter the employers based on the types of opportunities they offer during the live event. This will be the first virtual Youth and Student Focused Find Work Friday, but students are always welcome to attend any WorkSource virtual event.

Come join us for a three-day celebration of the lavender harvest. We will have multiple farm items, crafters, and artisans on-site in an open-air market.
Every year our event continues to improve and grow. The selection of vendors has broadened and our guests provide even more fun opportunities. This year you will be treated to almost 50 vendors providing a wide variety of hand-crafted goods, one-of-a-kind artwork, artist demonstrations, guest appearances, and don’t forget the star of the show-our lavender field. Stroll the field, stay for lunch, stop by for dinner, harvest u-cut lavender, check out our store before you leave and use your ticket from registering here to get a BOGO on U-Cut lavender! Check back often as the schedule builds out and register for tickets to be notified of changes or additions. Must present your ticket for the BOGO, so make sure to print it out or save it to your phone, please.
Burnt Ridge Nursery founder Michael Dolan will lead a tour of our 20-acre organic fruit and nut orchard, with a focus on crops that ripen in the summer including blueberries, mulberries, and figs. Cultivation and propagation techniques will be discussed, as well as the specific characteristics of the varieties that do well here in the Pacific Northwest. Fruit samples and snacks will be provided to-go this year, and all events will be held outdoors in compliance with Washington state COVID guidelines. 2 tours: 10 am -noon and 1:30-3:30. Limit of 30 guests per tour. $15 per individual; $30 for a family (up to 4 people). Parking is limited, please carpool if possible. Lewis County Master Gardeners will be having a Fall Plant Sale, Saturday, September 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Master Gardener Greenhouse located at Fort Borst Park in Centralia.
You can purchase hundreds of high-quality trees, shrubs and perennials all grown by local Master Gardeners.
Please, bring your own garden cart or wagon. Face masks and social distancing are required.

Enjoy Halloween-inspired fun and exciting activities without the fright at Boo Bash, October 22-31. Navigate a straw bale maze, explore a black-light cavern, design a scarecrow family, go on a scavenger hunt, decorate mini pumpkins, watch Dr. Science demos, join the costume parade, and more! Hands On is the premier children’s museum in the PNW. Explore 150 interactive exhibits and a half-acre outdoor play space where kids can ride trikes, sluice for treasure, captain a vintage schooner, climb a giant boulder, and go up the lighthouse lookout.
Sensory-friendly Boo Bash activities will be offered during our regular Sensory Friendly Hour, October 24 & 31 at 9 a.m.
