This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Felt a pea in a pod, paint a fruit bowl still life and look at fruits & veggies under a microscope. Meet professionals from the Olympia Area Dietetic Association and learn more about nutrition.
First 2 guests FREE, each additional guest just $2

There are more than the five senses we learned about in school. Some children’s behaviors maybe sensory processing challenges rather than intentional meanness or bad behavior. Learn about all our senses and how they are processed in our brain. Share sensory strategies and ways to help your child when their sensory system is not functioning smoothly.
Come hang out with friends, listen to music, play games, and eat snacks! Every second and fourth Thursdays. Newcomers are welcome! Snacks provided by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.
An environmental necessity, a vital economic resource, and a cultural symbol, salmon play a fundamental role in the Pacific Northwest—but they are in trouble.
With warming oceans, environmental degradation, and lowering genetic variability, wild salmon populations are dwindling. Climatologist Nick Bond explores the past, present, and possible future conditions for salmon in our state, and sees room for optimism. He shares lessons on how local communities have accomplished important work to support salmon runs, but also takes a hard look at the realities climate change poses for this regional treasure. Explore the history, science, and story of this cherished Northwest icon.
This presentation is part of Humanities Washington’s Speakers Bureau program and sponsored by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.
For Teens (ages 12-18) and Adults (age 18 and older)
Seeking adventurers to embark on this epic quest! Come play Dungeons and Dragons on first and third Thursdays. Beginners welcome! Snacks provided by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.
Middle and high schoolers bring your guitar, voice, writing, or any other performance art to the library for an evening of creative sharing. The lights will be low, the coffee will be hot, and the mood will be chill. Come be a performer and wow your friends, or support your peers as an audience member. Sign up for a performance slot at the door when you arrive. Refreshments provided.
This event will be held after regular hours, no other library services will be available.
Hang out and craft! The last Thursday of the month has a different craft activity for teens. No skill required. Listen to music and make something fun! Snacks and supplies provided by the Chehalis Friends of the Library.
