Join us for the 2024 Chehalis Flying Saucer Party in downtown Chehalis,WA. Friday, September 13th is the Northwest Flying Saucer Film Fest at McFiler’s Chehalis Theater. Saturday, September 14th is a day full of fun with engaging speakers, vendors, live music, the alien invasion parade, and exhibits at the Lewis County Historical Museum and much more! Join us in Celebrating Fire Prevention Week! Riverside Fire Authority is coordinating a grade school poster contest throughout Lewis County and partnering with the Centralia Outlets to help display children’s artwork. This year’s Fire Prevention Week campaign, “Smoke Alarms: Make Them Work For You!” Awards for best posters will be presented on Oct. 12, and artwork will be displayed the week of October 6 -12, in the gallery near our Polo Ralph Lauren and Eddie Bauer outlets at the 1400 block of Lum Rd.

Please join the Chehalis Land Trust team and Naturalist and Wildlife Guide Ryan Johnson for a walk at Chehalis River Discovery Trail.
In this session, Ryan will point out key trees and plants for us to learn, while discussing strategies and tips for identifying them in the field, as well as some of their relevant ethnobotanical history!
This hike will be considered easy difficulty. We’ll cover less than two miles, with frequent stops to review and interpret different plants we see along the path.
