Learn about freshwater mussels and lamprey in the Chehalis Basin at this educational workshop! Join Biologists Curt Holt (WDFW) and Teal Waterstrat (USFWS) to learn about these lesser-known, fascinating species. Both mussels and lamprey play a key role in the ecosystem of the rivers and streams and have a rich history in the Pacific Northwest. Learn about the challenges they are facing to survive and how you can help them! This event is free and family friendly.
Build the tallest tower than can survive our shaking earthquake tables!
Experiment with the science of sound at each station. Make music with stomp pedals! Try out a musical bench! Play with looping, oscillation and pitch! Make music with mad marble runs! Try out PVC pipe instruments!
Join Stream Team to plant trees along the Newaukum River! The trees will benefit water quality and salmon habitat.
