This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.
Alternating weeks of storytime and sensory play for babies and their participating caregivers. This is an early learning program.
This fall the Centralia Timberland Library is hosting a museum exhibit on loan from the Karshner Memorial Museum in Puyallup, WA. Drop in for dedicated viewing times on Mondays from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Wednesdays from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM September 4th through October 9th. This exhibit — titled “We’re Still Here” The Survival of Washington Indians — presents issues, challenges and successes that Washington Indians have experienced through the years in Washington State. It highlights the conflicts over land, identity, sovereignty, fish and cultural preservation. The exhibit also shows how tribes are successfully passing on the culture to future generations. The exhibit was created with the advice and input of tribal leaders and authorities from around the state.
This program is part of Timberland Reads Together, featuring “There There” by Tommy Orange and Native Voices, focused on Indigenous Peoples history and culture.

Come hang out with friends, listen to music, play games, and eat snacks! Every second and fourth Thursdays. Newcomers are welcome! Snacks provided by the Friends of the Chehalis Timberland Library.

A horror double feature if you dare! Arrive before the library closes, so you won’t be locked out and sad. Prepare to scream as loud as you want! Refreshments provided by Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library. For teens ages 12-18. This event will be held after regular hours, no other library services will be available.
Free Gardening Workshops
Thank you Lewis County is an event designed to express gratitude to healthcare and service providers helping to address substance use disorders and mental health issues in the community, as well as a space to change the narrative around these issues. There is no admission and the event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on October 12 at George Washington Park in Centralia. Service providers are encouraged to attend so they can be entered in a raffle for a gift from the community.
Drug addiction and mental illness do not just impact to user/victim. The true damage can echo to families, communities and society. Daily there are those among us that serve to help the community and we want to say thank you to them for doing their job. We also want to create a space where people can come together and change the narrative around these issues.
