Join popular South Sound parent educator and counselor, Candyce Bollinger for a parenting class on Resiliency. Resiliency is the ability to “survive soulfully” through daily life changes, as well as traumatic life events. This workshop teaches the basic factors that lead to the ability to “bounce back” and overcome adversity. Pre-registration required.
$30 per family/per session (up to 2 adults & 4 children, ages 3-12). Day-of price: $35. FREE childcare for 3+ years old. Childcare is $10 per child under 3 years old.

Writers, prepare to be inspired! Novelists, poets, essayists, zinesters, songwriters, and bloggers are invited to join the Teen Writing Group. This ongoing monthly workshop offers the chance to share your writing, get feedback, learn about writing techniques and most importantly, be inspired to write. Refreshments provided by the Friends of the Centralia Timberland Library.

The Polar Express™ trains feature the reading of the popular book “The Polar Express”™ during the trek to the North Pole, where we will pick up Santa for the return trip. Each child will be given the first gift of Christmas by Santa on the way back to the depot. Children are encouraged to come in their pajamas like in the movie. There will be cocoa and cookies provided on board, as well as singing and other entertainment. Train ride is approximately 1 hour.
