Earth Day – Work Party at Chehalis River Discovery Trail
Friday, April 22nd from 9 am ‘til 12:00 noon
Sponsored by the Chehalis River Basin Land Trust
What: Earth Day Discovery Trail Work Party to repair recent flood damage.
Snacks and drinking water will be available (bring your own bottle).
Due to hazards left by the floods, this event is not suitable for young children.
You must pre-register for this event. See instructions below.
Where: Chehalis River Discovery Trail, 1545 Goodrich Rd, Centralia. Parking for high
ground clearance vehicles will be at the old barn (follow the signs). Rides will
be provided as needed from the trail’s regular lot at the treatment plant.
When: 9 AM until 12:00 noon, Friday, April 22nd, 2022. Masking is optional.
Please join Chehalis River Basin Land Trust volunteers, the Great Old Broads and others as we work to repair recent flood damage along the Discovery Trail. (See: Discovery Trail along the Chehalis River (lewiscountytrails.org)) Please arrive early to sign the waiver.
Sturdy gloves and suitable work clothes are recommended. We will have some garden tools and gloves available at the site. Please feel free to bring your own hand tools if you’d like.

Come join us for the 13th Annual Boistfort Valley Spring Fest! We’ll have an indoor / outdoor art and craft fair, plant sale, hot lunch, and lots of pies and other desserts for sale. There will also be a raffle, featuring a handmade queen size quilt, and spring photo booth. Come out to the beautiful Boistfort Valley and stock up for your garden this year!

Time to learn how to shoot. Time to learn about defending yourself and those you love. Self-defense begins with “self”. Help isn’t always around when you need it the most. Come and learn.
I will instruct on the basic safety of firearms, how to grip, stand, aim, trigger press, and other issues involving firearms. If you do not have a handgun, I have a couple 9mm and a couple .22’s for you to try. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra of these as well), your firearm if you have one, the proper ammo for that firearm, a baseball cap and a notebook to take notes. If you do not have a firearm, bring a box of 9mm Luger/Parabellum and/or .22LR to use in my firearms.
Fee is $75 and preregistration is required with a $25 non-refundable deposit and $50 balance due at the door. Please call Dolly at 360-978-4338 to register. Space is limited so, again, preregistration is required.

Have questions regarding how a gun works, self-defense or any other topic involving firearms, this is the class for you. If you do not own a firearm I have several for you to try. If you do not own a pistol or revolver, bring 9mm Ruger/ Parabellum and/or .22LR ammo to use in the firearms I have available. Join the summer celebration at ChehalisFest, held each year on the last Saturday of July. This event offers activities for kids and families, car fanatics and folks of all ages throughout the day. Downtown Chehalis will be buzzing with summer fun! There will be a car show, live bands all day, beer garden, a vendor fair, kids’ zone, and local businesses will offer incredible deals! Come enjoy the lazy days of summer in downtown Chehalis!
