Learn the basics of handling a handgun. Safety rules, loading/unloading, clearing jams, how a firearm functions, sight alignment and stance just to name a few topics covered. If you do not own a handgun there are a couple available for you to try. Bring to the class your firearm (if you have one), the correct ammo for that firearm, or bring .22LR or 9mm Luger/Parabellum, eye/ear protection, baseball cap and paper to take notes. Prepare your family, farm, livestock, and pets for emergencies on the farm. Emergency, safety, and health issues we will cover: fires, weather & alerts, power outages, water, hazardous materials, threats and civil disturbance, AgrAbility, health & suicide prevention, emergency resources & supplies.

Want to learn to shoot a pistol? Don’t have a pistol? Learn about handguns in this class. I teach grip, stance, sight alignment, follow through, and more. Learn what to look for when you purchase a firearm if you don’t have one. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have them), baseball cap, your firearm and if you don’t have one bring 9 mm Luger/parabellum ammo or .22LR ammo to use in the firearms I have. Santa is scheduled to fly in by helicopter at Adna Grocery at 12 p.m. (weather permitting). He will also arrive at 3 p.m. for more visits at Back Memorial Park.
