Women’s Only Basic Pistol Class @ Centralia Rifle Club & Junior Division

Learn the basics of handling a handgun. Safety rules, loading/unloading, clearing jams, how a firearm functions, sight alignment and stance just to name a few topics covered. If you do not own a handgun there are a couple available for you to try. Bring to the class your firearm (if you have one), the correct ammo for that firearm, or bring .22LR or 9mm Luger/Parabellum, eye/ear protection, baseball cap and paper to take notes. A non-refundable preregistration fee of $25 is required and space is limited. Call Dolly at 360-978-4338 to register.

Prepare your family, farm, livestock, and pets for emergencies on the farm. Emergency, safety, and health issues we will cover: fires, weather & alerts, power outages, water, hazardous materials, threats and civil disturbance, AgrAbility, health & suicide prevention, emergency resources & supplies.

Want to learn to shoot a pistol? Don’t have a pistol? Learn about handguns in this class. I teach grip, stance, sight alignment, follow through, and more. Learn what to look for when you purchase a firearm if you don’t have one. Bring eye/ear protection (I have extra if you don’t have them), baseball cap, your firearm and if you don’t have one bring 9 mm Luger/parabellum ammo or .22LR ammo to use in the firearms I have. Preregistration is required as space is limited to 6. There is a $25 non-refundable fee required at registration and balance due at the door. WorkSource is holding a FREE indoor Pop-Up Event at the Great Wolf Lodge in their Convention Center on Wednesday, November 3rd from 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. Come and chat in-person with WorkSource staff to learn about the resources we offer and how we can assist with your job search. Recruiters from multiple employers will also be present. Bring questions and copies of your resume if you are ready to apply!

Join us on Saturday, December 4 at noon at the Adna Grocery and from 3-6 p.m. at Back Memorial Park where we are celebrating the holidays with music (provided by Adna Schools), a Lion’s Club food drive, visits from Santa and, of course, a tree lighting!

Santa is scheduled to fly in by helicopter at Adna Grocery at 12 p.m. (weather permitting). He will also arrive at 3 p.m. for more visits at Back Memorial Park.

After months of social distancing and COVID precautions, we hope to safely bring the community together outdoors with this event. This is a great time to gather, with goodwill and celebrate the season! Dress for the weather and bring an umbrella if needed.
