This community events calendar is the place to find fun activities and things to do throughout Lewis County, including Centralia, Chehalis and beyond.

Celebrate Earth Day! Work party at Borst Park on Saturday, April 23rd with Lewis County Stream Team and Noxious Weed Control.
What: Learn about noxious weeds and riparian zone management from professional guest speakers, take part in removing invasive Italian arum and replanting native species. Snacks, shovels, and work gloves will be provided. This is a great opportunity to see the changes at the park, connect with your community and give back to the environment for Earth Day 2022.
Where: Borst Park, 2030 Borst Ave, Centralia, WA 98531. Meet near the Borst Home located past the baseball fields.
When: Saturday, April 23rd from 10AM – 3PM.
What to Bring: Long sleeves and work boots are recommended. Optional to bring your own shovels and hand tools.
Who: Sponsored by Lewis County Noxious Weed Board, Centralia City Parks, Lewis County Stream Team, Master Gardeners, and Borst Arboretum Botanical Society. Native plants were donated by Buds and Blades Landscape Company.

WorkSource and the Capital Mall have teamed up to bring you a FREE Pop-up Job Fair on Friday May 6th from noon to 4:00 PM. This event will be hosted by Capital Mall at the indoor court in front of Macy’s.

Join the Lewis Conservation District and Mallonee Farms organic dairy for a cover crop planting demonstration! The no-till drill is available for rent at The Farm Store in Chehalis. The 1590 John Deere no-till drill features a 10′ working width and 7.5″ row spacing. It is great for planting grass, legumes, and grains. Come learn how to operate the drill and see it in action.

Burnt Ridge Nursery and Orchards in Onalaska will host weekly organic gardening classes this summer. In the first session, we will discuss how to plan gardens and home orchards and ways to add trees, shrubs, and vines to your existing landscape. We’ll also touch on planting for pollination, nitrogen fixation, sod removal, and mulching. Presented by Ben Kunesh, on staff horticulturalist.

Join the summer celebration at ChehalisFest, held each year on the last Saturday of July. This event offers activities for kids and families, car fanatics and folks of all ages throughout the day. Downtown Chehalis will be buzzing with summer fun! There will be a car show, live bands all day, beer garden, a vendor fair, kids’ zone, and local businesses will offer incredible deals! Come enjoy the lazy days of summer in downtown Chehalis!

Join Nature Nurture Farmacy for a magical fundraiser to support community wellbeing at an Enchanted Herbal Evening in the Forest.
